The residents of Betxí are already enjoying the benefits of the drinking water network renovation carried out on the north side of Avenida San José Obrero, between Calle Asunción Franch and Calle Camí d'Onda. These improvements were implemented by the Betxí Town Council and FACSA—the company that has managed and operated the municipal service since 1997—as part of their commitment to continuous improvement and modernization.

The renovation work consisted of replacing the old distribution network, made up of very old asbestos cement pipes and lead connections, with 410 meters of new polyethylene pipes, 27 household connections of the same material and six sectioning valves.

As explained by the mayor of Betxí, Alfred Remolar, “this is a very important sanitation project that is part of the comprehensive transformation we are undertaking on San José Obrero Avenue. After the construction of the school route and the renovation of the sewers, the complete resurfacing of the avenue will be carried out in the coming months.”.

For his part, Juan Luis Orenga, head of Supply at FACSA, stated that with these improvements “we will avoid service interruptions due to possible breakdowns and significantly improve the town's drinking water infrastructure, within the commitment that exists, both on the part of the concessionary company and the Betxí City Council, to improve the quality of service we provide to citizens.”.
