Badajoz launches a new water management model with Facsa and Exman leading the northeast area of the province

Average, The Badajoz Provincial Council's consortium responsible for the integrated water cycle and waste management has launched a new water supply model in the province through contracts with specialized companies, including Facsa. The company will play a key role in the northeast region, in collaboration with Exman, in a phase that will involve significant service improvements in 54 municipalities and a joint investment of over €5 million over the next three years.

Facsa In a joint venture with Exman, it will be responsible for the direct management of the water supply in 14 municipalities in the province, including Herrera del Duque, Fuenlabrada de los Montes, and La Coronada, among others. In addition to the low-pressure supply, it will also operate five high-pressure supply systems, which treat and distribute drinking water for the La Siberia region and for the La Coronada-La Haba-Magacela joint system.

With this first contract in Extremadura, the company strengthens its national presence and takes on a new challenge: guaranteeing the supply of an essential resource like water in the municipalities of Badajoz province. Beyond technical improvements and infrastructure upgrades, this new contract represents an opportunity to contribute its extensive experience and vision to a strategic region like Badajoz, particularly in the current context of water scarcity and climate challenges.

Likewise, the company will contribute to strengthening and facilitating citizen services through more accessible service both in person – such as the permanent office in Herrera del Duque and mobile points – and through digital means and 24-hour service lines.
